The following information you may find helpful. We want to address any uncertainties.
Should I take off all my clothing? The choice is yours to make. You can leave your underwear on or completely disrobe. No matter what you choose you will be draped and tucked with the massage table sheet to conceal private areas.
Should I assist the massage therapist?
Unless specifically requested you should LET GO & resist any attempts to help the massage therapist. Be like a limp noodle and relax all your muscle tissues. This will support the sessions therapeutic benefits.
Should I speak-up?
Before the session starts, during the “intake” process share what your goals are for the session, share your needs as the session goes on regarding any discomfort…..examples: room temperature if too hot, too cold; you dislike the music; the therapist pressure is to much or too little; you need to use the restroom.
Should I talk during the session?
It is best to be quiet and not talk throughout the session. It is best to close your eyes, let go, empty your mind and relax your mind and body. To enhance your relaxation, deep breathing is suggested and encouraged. If you don’t know how to deep breath I will teach you if you are interested.
Should I tip?
The choice to tip your massage therapist is solely up to you. Tips are not expected but are very much appreciated.
